MISSION STATEMENT
EMBRACE's mission is to inspire today’s youth to embrace each other’s differences and understand that everyone’s voice deserves to be heard. To foster the belief that their differences define them and can be cultivated into viable skills to mold them into productive members of society.
OUR VIEW
Rather than sit on the sidelines complaining about the flaws in the education system we decided to do something that would make an impact. As the student population in America’s schools, becomes progressively more diverse, school reforms must be made to meet their needs. The curriculum must be culturally sensitive and instructors should encourage all students to strive to be the best students and citizen they can be. This must begin with educating our teachers and school administrators so that they can better educate the students. Statewide educational equity should include all children, minorities and non-minorities, males and females, successful students and those who have fallen behind, and students who have been denied access in the past. They should all have access to equal opportunities to learn, to participate in challenging programs, and to the services they need in order to benefit from that education. Through the implementation of our innovative programs into the school system for both the staff and the students, all this is attainable.
